JUL 2010

I have moved to Toronto island for the summer again.

A photograph I took of Xenia Benivolski is on the cover of Sketch (Spring/Summer 2010).

The first issue of Some Ways to Disappear, a new arts publication from the UK, has published the story I wrote on the island last summer. It looks like a really beautifully made project, I'm excited to see it.

MAR 2010

The first issue of Sarah Lynn Knowle's new project, Storychord, came out. It has a story by Tao Lin and music by Katie Mullins and a photograph by me.

Travelogues: Feminist Film and Video
Journeywomen
Monday, 15 March 2010, 8pm
University of Toronto Hart House Board Room

Ladyfest Toronto and TPS Student Association present three evenings of film and video by emerging feminist artists curated by Kate-Christine Miller. Each evening will be accompanied by discussion facilitated by the curator and including audience members, artists, and film critics/theorists. Discussion will address the works shown and their relationship to the evening's theme as well as what can be gleaned from the works individually and within the gendered travel construct. This night will focus on the narrative. The Journey is a story in which one character moves forward, and presents herself in beginning, middle, and end. The works shown on this evening focus on personal experience, self-determination, and process. Themes of bravery, independence, and aging will be discussed in relation to the films
