Helena Kvarnström
b. 1980

I am from Sweden and live in Toronto. In between I have lived in the United States and the
United Kingdom. I write and take photographs and I'm interested in trees, water, bodies,
ghosts, loneliness, stillness, secrets and hidden threats. I am currently working with a Pentax
67 camera, although my past work has mostly been 35mm film and a few of the photographs
here are from digital SLRs and digital point and shoot cameras. Sometimes I make videos
with my partner, Kevin Marchand.

I contribute to the Female Persuasion blog, where I write about art.
